Join us, as Sarah Kaczmarek helps us to answer these questions and understand the practice of fasting to ultimately deepen our discipleship to Jesus

Question 1
Fasting is an ancient discipline to break the power of the flesh–our desires, sins, and cravings–and to feed on the Holy Spirit.
Have you ever fasted before? What was your experience like?
Question 2
In fasting, the great hunger of the heart and mind for answered prayer permeates the body itself. If your afraid to try fasting or if your past experience of fasting wasn't positive,...
what could you change (mentally, physically, etc.) to fast with more openness to Jesus and His Holy Spirit?
Question 3
As you fast, allow the hunger you feel to prompt you towards prayer. Use the time you would normally eat in communion with God, engaging one of the above conversations with him.
What are you waiting for? Pick a day when you (and your community) will fast together.
